ejmoore Posted August 6, 2005 Share Posted August 6, 2005 The little rubber pad that goes over the clutch top ('96 Legacy Outback Wagon) slips something awful. I replaced it thinking that it was the older pad (that one had a small tear in the top left corner) but this one slips just as badly. I tried Gorilla Glue but it didn't do the trick (and made a sticky mess - too hot outdoors right now). Any suggestions to keep this pad in place, besides duct tape??? The top of the clutch mechanism is so slick, and the pad moves when I shift, then makes a weird ploppop when I release the clutch. It's not affecting the car, it's just damned annoying. mattocs Posted August 7, 2005 Share Posted August 7, 2005 the rubber pad on my clutch and brake pedal came off...but the metal pedal has plenty of grip, as most the shoes I wear have rubber bottoms.
