NewSuby
I just purchased a 95 Impreza with 105K miles...I don't think the Trans fluid has ever been changed...Should I attempt? I've heard that if the Trans fluid hasn't been change by about 50K just leave it alone...Thoughts?
Legacy777
Yeah, definitely change it. I'm assuming it's an auto. Clean ATF is essential to maintaining transmission longevity.

mtsmiths
Auto tranny and oil changes are the things I allow the dealership to do. I NEVER trust quik-lube joints ... just TOO many horror stories! 'Sides, the dealer washes the car when they service. Get that AT flushed and fluids changed, it's the car's weak link. That said, both our '95 (135K), and '00 (165K) are autos, and they drive fine. I like them even better in the snow than I did our three different M/T Subarus. [brace for flames].
