NewSuby
I just purchased my 95 Suby this last week (95 Impreza) and I am noticing a shimmy and shake when I apply the breaks at speeds greater than 40MPH...If I'm just driving around town I don't notice, but at speeds greater than 50MPH I definitely notice this shaking...Any ideas I was told that the brakes were done about 8 months ago. Cougar
I would check the brakes. Particularly the front ones. One side may be grabbing better than than the other side. It would be good to check the front end also for a problem.
WAWalker
Brake rotors are warped. Either the rotors were not resurfaced when brake job was done. Or they were machined below min. thikness. Or the pads are not good quality. Or any combination of the above.
drquasievil
I second that. I have a 95 Legacy. Rotors needed to be resurfaced due to the problem you are describing. Brake rotors are warped. Either the rotors were not resurfaced when brake job was done. Or they were machined below min. thikness. Or the pads are not good quality. Or any combination of the above.
