Dont know how safe it would be, you would be altering your brake system which might be more dangerous than just having standard brakes. soobscript Posted September 4, 2005 Share Posted September 4, 2005 Would be prohibitively expensive if it existed. If you want ABS it will probably have to be all custom. Pump, computer, sensors in front knuckles and rear something, sensor pick-ups (notches) on axles, etc. I could be wrong about everything though. Scoobywagon Posted September 4, 2005 Share Posted September 4, 2005 Probably wouldn't be terribly difficult for a competent machinist to retrofit Ford RABS into a Soob. It consists of toothed ring and an electronic pickup that sends position data to a small computer, external to the ECM, that controls a small check valve (?). The hard part would be getting the ring installed in the rear diff and adding provisions in the case for the pickup. After that...no problem at all.
