katoya Posted September 5, 2005 Share Posted September 5, 2005 Hello Everybody, I have a '97 Impreza 2.2L. I just swapped the original engine for a used engine. I got is back together the first time and had no spark. Thought is was ignition coil, but turned out to be bent cam pulley and smashed cam timing sensor. I replaced both, then I had spark but engine ran very badly. A friend with some experience said that it sounded like a intake vacuum leak. I redid intake gaskets and checked all hoses to intake. Now I have no spark again. All plugs and wires are new, both timing sensors are connected, and coil is connected. I am approaching wits end and I need my car running again soon. Any suggestions?
