EA82Turbo
Kool thread! I wanna put a 5 speed box in my 1982 Leone. Ok, read link from above post. But I think the stub axels have a different spline count. Mine is 23 and 5 speed box is 25... i think? How do you get round this problem? Can the stub axels be swapped? Thankx hayden

Thankx hayden Thought you already had one in there? Only the 5 speeds that came in turbo cars had 25 splines - find one off a non turbo and your away laughing. I'm chucking a 5 speed in my wagon when i get that ea81t ready to go in.
EA82Turbo
Yeah, your right I have already got a 5 speed in my Leone. But had no idea how it was done. Guess I know now. The non-turbo gearboxes would be leaker tho, right? Are the ratios the same?
Ross
Yeah, your right I have already got a 5 speed in my Leone. But had no idea how it was done. Guess I know now. The non-turbo gearboxes would be leaker tho, right? Are the ratios the same? If you mean "weaker" then no, i think most of the gearbox is the same. I think they may use a different final drive ratio??
