I hear James Dean might be reincarnated for this one.

But seriously folks,I'm sure there's going to be some wicked cool old cars there....but doubt there'll be an old school Subie.

Jon,mark your calender,bud!May....third weekend....you own old Subarus....one excellent gathering, trust me.A whole heap of us balked this year but most of those are committing to this year's show and we've gained some vintage Subathusiasts, something like 10-fold,here in the NorthEast so our representaion and variety of models should be greatly expanded.

Scott goes nuts out to make the show special for the gang and despite that it's a really good time. ...just kidding Scotty.

Since I grew up in Carlisle I have been to many many of these shows. Fall Carlisle is going to be 99.9% old american muscle cars....maybe some exotics but nothing really cool Suby orientate...unless you lucky.

I used to have a 71 Mach 1 Mustang and a few other muscle cars ...and honestly ...I would much rather have my Loyale. But thats just me...I mean really..if I had alot of expendable money maybe I would get another miscle car but they are just too expensive to keep up with...Since I am poor I guess thats outta the question.

Its more fun to show off an old Sube causepeople dont expect to see them. They are actually more rare than almost any muscle car.

c`mon theres no old muscle cars you like??

so if i offered you a 68 Camaro SS conv. for free, you would rather have a 83 sube?

I'd sell it and buy more Subarus.

It's just that I personally just went to a car show here and saw tons of muscle cars,etc..and I'm sure most everybody has seen the usual drive in car shows all summer long.I know I grew up with muscle cars in the family, really could appreciate them back then. But I appreciate them a little less now that the prices have become what they have and the gas issue.

I think it's completely amazing that you saw a 360 anything there at that show.360 truck, now there's one to get!

I'm with Paul.... I'd sell the ss (or hook my dad up) and buy more soobs. The only muscle car I would like isn't really all the muscular. I'd like one of those Dodge Chargers that had the really big and long back window. I think they were around the '66 era....with a 383 in it.If I had the room i would start my own Pensylvania chapter of "the first church of the subaru....."

One of my biggest issues with old cars though... Carburators. I hate em. (that includes the one on the 83 too)

We have 3 weekly shows and several yearly shows here. The majority of the cars are muscle cars, there's a GT500E "Eleanor" signed by Carroll Shelby that has been coming regularly. Now, she's a pretty car.

The rest are old American made... BelAirs, Cadillacs, Model T, chopped trucks and sedans with hydraulics. Lots of money into these cars, but as common as a Lincoln penny.

The Brat really gets its share of attention because most people have forgotten about them. The kids/teens think it's a new model or a kit.
