WWII
I have a 2003 Forester with the 6 CD changer, with casette & radio combination. Has anyone worked on these and taken one out of the dash. Any help would be appreciated. This one was working great and was in the middle of bringing up the CD when the engine was started. That stopped the cd and it never worked again. It doesn't respond at all. The radio and casette work fine, but the CD buttons don't do anything. 1. Has anyone had a similiar problem? What fixes or problems? 2. Has anyone removed the center console and radio/CD/cassette player? 3. Do these have the same or separate fuses?
nipper
DO a search on the topic, its fairly easy to do. They are double DIN units if i remeber correctly, so its also easy to replace too. nipper
muse
Had the same problem with my CD player in my 01 Forester. Was told by the dealer that it happens a lot and to go to my local car stereo place and get a new one. Haven't done it yet, and like you, tape player and radio work well.
