acura brakes on a GEN 1

Recommended Posts

Well the caliper is exactly the same as the gen 1 cars! So we now have a new cross-reference!

That's a very obscure cross-reference, too... have you taken the caliper to a part store and compared it to one that is known to be for that acura? I get this sneaking suspicion that the acura part was a misprint...

Something doesn't quite add up here. I find it hard to believe that Honda, one of the most technically advanced automobile companies, was still using 1978 technology on a 1997 car that was $22k for the base model? Although the calipers for a 1997 CL look damn close to the one in the picture, there must be slight differences. It would be cool if it was true though...kind of like how you can get Subaru 4-pots and brake pads from the Nissan dealer:)

Hi, Todd

(You are bidding on 1 (Front Left) acura Brake Caliper as we do not have a second in stock) The acura is using rear hand brake and Subaru is using front hand brake. So how about the hand brake mechanism even thought the brake body look like the same?

Chu
