Guest Skip Posted July 30, 2003 Share Posted July 30, 2003 Brian, sorry for the delay, Dennis is correct, I am in Surfside Beach SC, just got Inet access here. The shifter fix is written up in the repair manual. Couple of different options. The fix I did was a bit different and involved creating a "short shifter" while I had it apart. This is an EA81 we are talking about correct? If so the pivot bushings for the bottom of the shifter are just as, if not more, important as taking the slop out of the barrel that connects the linkage to the tranny.
