Guest jcdenton
Hello, where can i get a 3.9 limited-slip rear differential? or is it that you get a 3.7 LSD then make it a 3.9? I read about it here before but I forgot what was what.
Guest SubaruJunkie
You can get a 3.9 VLSD from a Legacy Turbo. Or you can get a real 3.7 LSD and convert it to 3.9 -brian

Guest SubaruJunkie
It will still need to be a 3.9 -Brian
Guest UltimateRX
Yea, like Junkie said, the best way is to convert a 3.90 using the carrier fron a 3.70 LSD. Too bad you're on the east coast, I could put you in line for a convertion. By the way, what movies have you starred in??
Guest jcdenton
wha... oh.... the porno thing on my prophile.:rollin: I have another job but I can dream:cool: so, I have to get a carrier from a 3.7LSD and then put it in my 3.9 to make it an LSD? so, what subarus have a 3.7LSD in it? Also, is are there any other parts that I need to do this? thank you.
Guest UltimateRX
All RXs have LSDs, some buyers from 1985 to 1989 did optioned for LSDs so checking everyone one you find is not a bad idea. Also the 89 GL-10 4WDs all had LSDs. The LSD data plate (decal) on the back of the differential is much larger (almost twice the size) of the open differentials, so they should be easy to spot.
