i was driving my car as usual and suddenly out of nowhere it became very difficult to get it out of fourth gearit is still drivable and will go out of all other gears normally it is just a little stiff going into fourth and it is very very stiff going out of fourth the fluid was just changed about 6-8 thousand miles ago this is on my 6
is this a sign of a dieing transmission?

I'd check the shift linkage first. You might just need to replace some bushings.

Hello Subarian - To piggy back on this conversation - I have an oem parts list of my 5 spd shift system (2wd) and there are a bunch of bushings I would like to replace. Unfortunately, the dealer wants over $150 for 10 nylon bushings. Do you have any idea where I can get the dimensions of the bushings for a 1987 gl 5spd 2wd before I tear ny only transportation apart or where I can get the bushings at a reasonable price? thanks much

I don't know, but if you post your question as a new topic, you'll get some people who do.
