running rich would be my guess, or in my case a complete lack of any type of emission controls and a weber carb. F cali and their smog reg's, Yavapai county in AZ doesn't give a damn...i just wont be able to go any where else w/ it.

Carb problem, vacuum leak or compromised converters would be my guess.

I just had to put a '93 SP through aircare 5 times. Turned out that someone had poked through the first cat, and had replaced the center pipe with one for an older model without a second cat.

Your exhaust has more holes than the Titanic?

Wait, that's me. Replaced the muffler and catalytic convertor, and now for the exhaust manifold gaskets..... Rust sucks.

If you want to see the Cali smog Nazis pull their hair out over a smog test, just take my 69 Triumph GT6+ in for a test. This car wasn't meant for the US, but the Fed Gov let them in anyway, so no specs to do the test. They have specs for 69 GT6 and MK II, but no GT6+.
