Hi there,

The Brat cuts out momentarily, sometimes twice, then runs again. Also will not idle occasionally.

Situation is: Junk Yard good running engine, distributor from previous good running one, different carb from Pick A Part that looks recent overhauled, replaced the coil, new battery and cables, alternator charging 14.20 volts.

When the cut out occurs there is no changes in the guages, voltage strong etc. of course the tach shows decreasing RPM as the engine dies.

Ideas?

Thanks,

Tom .

No on Sea Foam, I presume it is a cleaner absorber? Rig has sat a LONG TIME, but the fuel is somewhat new. The cut out feels electrical not fuel related. I realize the pump is electic, but if a fuel issue the cutoff would be slower.

Thanks,

Tom

Well I pulled the fuel tank out, full of rust. After flushing I am thinking of waht to seal it with. POR 15 is good, but expensive. Any other ideas?
