1981 GL fuel delivery

my vehicle starts and runs for about 5 seconds before cutting off. i had the voltage regulator and alternator checked-all good. the fuel pump is ok, i guess. any suggestions? thanks. rich

I recall a couple of fuses, inline, above the fuse box for f/pump, charging, and choke
