does anybody know if you can get a vw diesel in a suby

i don't think it's been done yet. You would probably have to have a lift kit on the subaru for it to fit under the hood. I'm looking at doing that in a year or two but that's no help to you now :P

Sure,, just take a Diesel Rabbit and built a Justy body around it :rolleyes:

There has been a fair amount of discussion on the board about it. You can do a search. I think the consensus is that it would be pretty difficult to fit under the Subaru hood.

you may have better luck with an engine for a "van" type body, as the engine is tilted a steeper angle

a VW fox may help, audi fox is totally different

Search for my old thread on this from this summer. I still think it's possible, but you've got to have a decent machine shop, which I didn't. I ended up putting it into a rabbit instead (which BTW, is quite a PITA to work on compared to a subaru)
