Throttle Position Sensor

I had a troulble code of 31 and checked out the throttle position sensor. I noticed that when I jiggled the wiring harness that the TPS would start working when the enginge was cold. Has anyone had a bad wire to the tps before and if so where exactly was the problem as these things seem to happen in the same place.
