Pulled engine to fix lifter problem & to reseal things. my markings on the tape smeared when reinstalling engine, so I guessed on hooking up coil wires. Now car won't start, please help me w/ this guys. Here are 2 pictures of how I rehooked wires. Could you check these against your engine. The coil hookups are a little blurry, if you need clearer ones let me know. - side of coil has 3 yellow wires, w/ different stipes (GREEN-WHITE-RED). The + side of coil has 3 black wires w/ different thickness of white stripes & 1 thick grey wire.

all of the yellow wires will be negative.

the black wires with the white stripe, and anything with a red terminal is positive. there is a black wire to the noise suppressor that goes on the positive terminal.

it looks like you got one of the yellow wires on the positive terminal. swithc that around, and then check your fuse, as that hookup may have blown it.

and make sure you got spark to eliminate the coil being the problem. if you got spark, she should run

are you getting gas? everything looks correct from what i can see. looks like there is a clamp half way up the hose, if you havent seen that yet

i dont have my turbo wagon anymore, but i had the motor out of it

when i first got it i did the distributor cap, and pulled the dist. i mostly guessed the rotor position, and totally guessed the coil wires, but lucky for me she fired right up. so that is what worked for me, and that is how i know what wire is what

so did it start up?

No, she's still not starting. Yes, she's getting fuel & spark, but I did have the fuel lines reversed at one point, corrected that. Maybe, its the rotor, but think it only goes on in one position, maybe not, I'll check that tonight. I'll recheck all vacuum lines tonight as well. Here's a picture of fuel lines that rob sent me.
