I have a 2000 Outback Limited, the rear hatch just will not open anymore. Ive tried unlocking it with the key, and remote, neither will work. It sounds like it does unlock, but the handle to open it just dosent really move or open it. Theres no switch in the inside that I know of to try and open it. Any suggestions? puter061 Posted March 12, 2006 Author Share Posted March 12, 2006 never mind.. searched for "rear hatch" before I posted with nothing really pretaning. afterI posted searched for "hatch" and found someone with the problem. Sorry about that. Just had to lock it, move the handle back manual, unlock it, and bam, she opens. Sprayed it. So its fine as long as I dont try to open it with it locked by accident.
