New Subaru wrecking yard in WA

Recommended Posts

So for a long time now the only option for used Subaru parts has been :-\Aaron's in south Seattle. from what i have heard they will no longer be taking anything 92 and older.what about all the EA81 and EA82 guys? where are you going to find all the parts you are going to need to keep your 4x4 play toy and your commuter car going. I just wanted to get every ones thoughts on someone starting a new Subaru only wrecking yard. poss. going to open in the Kent area.

Ok, disregard my earlier post, it was late for me:rolleyes:

Is this person going to purchase one of the yards by the river in Kent? Thats where most of them are located. Havent been there for a while, but usually take the scrappers to AA there. Kent would be a little closer for me, but the prices would have to be close to the PAP's and have a good variety also.

well i don't know what pap prices are like, but i do know how popular certain parts are and how hard some are to find. so i guess the prices would vary. there will however be frequent shopper discount and if it is requested a parts truck will most likely be attending as many 4x4 get together's as possible

I happen to know the owners of the two biggest yards there. Is this person an established hulker with an exsisting license? I have a hard time believing the city of Kent will authorize another one to open considering how hard they have been trying to get them out for the last decade or so.

Green River's old yard is vacant and the best of my knowledge will remain that way. Astro's old yard is currently occupied and I do not know the owners but I believe one of the brothers from Green river is there. They were never really too interested in the Subaru side of things.

So, what do you actually know about this scenerio? Is this speculation or inside info? I will be down there today dropping off some scrap and will have to do some digging around.
