They suck, I've found more comfortable seats in state park benches. And I average around 100 miles a day, so as soon as I can drop the cash I'm either swapping them or recontouring them.

By the way I might be unloading my '03 heated outback seats(grey cloth)(drivers side elec. adjustable 5way/pass. slider) . I plan on gettin' some WRX seats so I don't slide around so much when wheelin' or getting slideways.......yea the heated seats r great when your back is killing you from a hard day...especially in winter!

Cheers,

Brucey...Yep I tracked ya down from the Org....lol

Are they comfortable in later years?

I dont know how else to explain the 00 seats except that they're garbage. :D

not really sure...we had an '01 in our shop and they seemed the same to me as the '03

have you sat in other cars ? perhaps your seat is just broken down in places ...are you the original owner?

I will admit the lumbar isn't that great anyway...not enough!

Yeah the adjustable lumbar is the killer for me, it doesent seem to have a comfortable position, just 3 varying degrees of garbage.

I'll find me some seats, I checked into getting them recontoured and two upholstry shops told me the same thing "Get some other seats, these arent worth fixing"

Might want to go with earlier (read "cheaper") Legacy seats, '89-'94 I find pretty comfortable, and spring for the Webasto seat heaters if that's an issue. Also, I find most Volkswagen, and even earlier Subaru (XT, XT6 and '87+ GL-10) seats to be quite comfy.

Welcome aboard.
