EA82T gas millage?

Recommended Posts

That's about right.

First off... it's a turbo. The more you engage the turbo, the more gas you use.

Second, it's an Auto, not a manual.

Thirdly, it's 4wd, not FWD. Even if you don't have it in 4wd Hi all the time... just having the linkage, diff, ect. wastes energy from the engine. (more weight too)

It sounds about right.

I got 24 mpg in my wagon, when it was 2wd auto.

Then 29 mpg when it was 2wd manual.

Then I got 29 mpg when i swapped in the 4wd rear, I was draggin the diff and axles.

Now Im getting x mpg now that the XT6 FT4WD trans is in. (x being the new mpg figure! I am expecting 26 or better)

I know of a 1996 Outback, AWD EJ25 phase one that gets 26.

My RX barely gets 20-22 mpg.

But then again, pay attention to the engines. Non stock (GL-10), and stock (RX).

Hmmm my 87 GL with a weber gets like 10 MPG in rallycrosses, 20 MPG delivering pizza, 25 MPG normally and 30 MPG on the highway.

My 86 GL (auto trann and hitachi with CA emissions) got like almost 35 MPG

Both my turbowagons got 25ish on the highway I think.

The only time I really got below 20 MPG was when my carb was running WAY rich..... below 20 doesnt sound right....
