Rev Limiter?

Recommended Posts

Guest Setright

It MUST have...probably doesn't activate before 7000rpm, or higher.

Why? Are you worried you'll get carried away and rev the valves out of it??

My EJ22 limiter cuts in at 6800rpm, but it is very smooth, just keep the revs there, and doesn't bounce like so many other systems. Gotta love Subes!

Naw, not over-reving, just interested. You may have answered my next question, I've got a '91 Legacy with the EJ22 and have always wondered at what RPM the limiter kicked in on that one. What year is yours?

My EJ22 is from April 1990.

Live in Denmark and run 95 octane - maybe the expected octane rating has an influence on the rev limiter settting.

I belive our 96 OBS (2.2L) hits the limiter at 6500 or 6750... its been like 4 years so its hard to remember...

I dont think my 87 has one though
