I just wanted to see if anyone else has spent a good amount of money on an old subaru exhaust before. I just got a $250 exhaust set up as a birthday present from my Dad. Took the cat out of the Y Pipe and replaced it with a 2in Pipe to a Speedrex muffler. It definatley help in horsepower, and fuel economy. My car seems to run fine without the cat or resonator.

Hmm.. I'm hoping it's just the mic that was used not picking up the noise right, cause it sounded like the dirtbikes that my neighbors drive up and down the street at ungodly hours

It's not quite as loud when your actually driving. It's really only loud when you let off the gas at high RPMs. But while accelerating its a smooth tone.

I spent about $200 running 2.25" pipe back to a stainless Magnalow XL muffler with an 18" stainless tip on my XT6 recently, but it's tucked under the car so you can't even see it. Of course, she's a lot lower than your 'Ru.

I'm about to spend 600 euro's on a 2,5 inch RVS from the turbo back free flow exhaust:banana: (this is including mufflers, flanges, all the welding, etc.)

MAybe its just me, but notice the angle of the pipe meeting the main pipe. Looks to me that it would be trying to blow exhause back up the pipe to the engine instead of the muffler.

Maybe its my speakers. But it sounds to hollow and kinda like im listing through a tin can.

Not the speakers, I don't think. I tried listening to both, and yours sounds how a Sube should sound... A Dog's sounds like a dirt bike.... :-\

sounds like you gained rpms quicker than normal. I like that part of it I bypassed resonator only on my old sube, was always wondering what full open did....

Yes it does kinda sound like a dirt bike but I like that. And it does rev up faster than before, but that's because my old cat was completely clogged. It doesn't sound as clanky once im driving, but I love the sound.

Mine has a $25 exhaust... $9 per muffler plus tax.. Talk about sound SWEET!!!
