dm748s
Hi I have only just registered. Have had my converted van running for about three weeks. It has an Ej25 '96 DOHC hooked up to a Renault UN1 tranaxle with WRX pull clutch and Delorean 235mm clutch plate. So my van now has a 3.88diff instead of about 4.6. I could not find a wiring diagram for the ecu that came with engine so I bought a Megasquirt kit to build and tune myself. The result is a very torquey unit to drive and should tour nicely. Only one problem. Has anyone experienced loss of oil pressure either uphill or quick acceleration? I think I need to modify the oil pickup and sump. Legacy777
What sort of pressures are you seeing out of that engine?
dm748s
What sort of pressures are you seeing out of that engine? I only have the idiot light and even bigger idiot buzzer in the dash. Perhaps I'll fit a guage and check whats really goin on.
Legacy777
That'd probably be a good idea. How do you currently have the oil pickup configured? Is it stock? Are you using the stock subaru oil pan? There is a new oil pan design that has a secondary set of baffles. You can see the difference in these pics http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8080/subaru/images/ej22t/
bryan_johnson
It is unusual to loose oil pressure, even with a shortened oil pan. Even guys off-roading in synchros don't complain about that. Does the pan have any baffles at all?
