northguy
Just put some studded snows on the brat (no snow yet, just some heavy frost). Using some wagon wheels I got in the deal, but the center hubs are uglier than sin. Looking for suggestions for center hub covers on the wagon wheels. Thanks. Snowman
Are these wheels from an ea81 or ea82? I've got three of the center caps for ea82 wagon wheels in Haines and I could get them mailed up (or pick them up at Thanksgiving). They may be interchangeable between the two generations, but I haven't tried it yet. I have absolutely no use for them, and since I only have three and not a full set, I can't really sell them for a decent amount of money. I'd give them to you for $5 plus any shipping costs if you want. It is also possible that I could get ahold of a couple ea81 center caps, but again they are in Haines and these are out in the woods. mtsmiths
Maybe you could spraypaint the inside of the clear cup domes silver or body color, snap 'em in, and call it good. Sometimes I amaze MYSELF!
northguy
Oops, forgot. 1983 Brat - ea81. Clear cup? right now, the spindle nut with the cotter pin is sticking out of the (roughly) 3" hole in the center of the wagon wheel. My wheels feel naked, and I'm a bit concerned about slat/rust from the roads here this winter. Ideas appreciated.
MorganM
What you need are some OEM "hub caps" and the plastic snap rings. The caps are so easy to get its the snap rings that you never find intact! They fit in the rim's center hole and just cover your castle nut keeping junk out of there. Prolly can score some off the marketplace. I have several I could send you but no snap rings so they arep retty pointless I use them to hold nuts and bolts peace
archemitis
but... the ea81s dont need the plastic pieces, just the center cap, and any center cap will do, ea81 or ea82. they made some cool aluminum discs that said subaru, that should fit. my favorite thing in the world is a white, shiny, wagonwheel, with a chrome center cap, with a blue center. best looking wheel of the 80s. if they came in 15s they would be the best, ever. just me. northguy
Archemetis, tell me more. Are they just pressure fit by the wheel holding them in place? This is my first set of w/w's. I'm a newbie in this area.
archemitis
you just push the tabs into the wheel, and give em a little palm action, or a kick. they can go on when the wheels are on or off the car.
northguy
Thanks for the info. Sounds like I can use the ones that Snowman may have.
