90 legacy. did cars without cruise still have the wiring for it. i had the dash apart and noticed that there was a plug behind the blank spot where the button would be.

You'd still need the switch for the steering wheel. And the control unit in the right side of the dash. Odds are that it isn't wired in already.

i know not everything is there. but the plug is the same as the one in my other car with cruise. so some of the wiring has to be there.

Some of it, perhaps. But irrelevant because trying to chase down all the necessary parts and wiring them in would be worth more than the time or effort needed to install the Cruise Control.i know not everything is there. but the plug is the same as the one in my other car with cruise. so some of the wiring has to be there.

I think you can just buy a kit and install cruise.
