is there such a thing?? my rear pads look like they are starting in on the yellow layer.
fronts ,I cant tell,but they appear pretty good .calipers look a good distance away as opposed to the rear.
of course I`m too lazy to pull the wheels off,so I `m using a maglite thru the spokes at an angle just barely making it out.:-\

I've never heard of what you're talking about, however that doesn't mean there isn't such a thing.

You should just pull off the wheel.
