Danbob
Anyone know if a stock shifter from a 2004 WRX will work in a 95 legacy L??? If so, will it shorten the shifter at all? seems like it might and this would be a nice free mod for me considering I have one on hand that I could switch with the shifter on my legacy.....What do you guys think? Andyjo
I'd think you would have to do alot of work with the linkages... other than that... it would be a hott mod

Dr.Outback
To swap a WRX short throw into a '93 Legacy, all you need is the joint between the linkage and the shift fork on the tranny. I forget the part number. Now I can't be sure for your year because the Impreza and Legacy were a little less related then in '93. But there's a pretty good chance it'll swap. But it won't shorten the range. So why swap them? If you have bad bushings, just replace and that will make the shifter much less sloppy.
