I am new to Subarus, but I am looking to replace my Saab Turbo. I am ready to jump on a '03 Legacy SE, but I am hoping I can get a few questions answered here first.
With the end of the model year, are new Subarus going for invoice, less than the invoice price or several hundred over? My dealer is holidng firm to $500 over invoice plus a $98 doc fee. His rationale is that the current incentives are unusual for Subarus, therefore, the price is very good.
Secondly, the car is radically different than my Saab. It seems to have lesser quality materials, which would be undertandable considering it costs $10,000 less than the Saab. How do the interiors and bodies hold up?
Lastly, is it common for Subarus to offer incentives? I am just wondering if I wait a few more weeks will the cash-back or intereste rate get better. Of course, the supply of '03 Legacy sedans is starting to run thin. i odn't wont't to wait too long.
Thanks for any and all input.
