And/or what is the length of the engine from front to back? My '95 Legacy (BD) measures out to 35" from firewall to radiator support for comparison. I have seen quotes stating the eg33 is 6" longer than the ej22, but have also spoken with a guy who put one into an Impreza who said it fit with the radiator, but there was literally no space between the rad and engine components, so he cut out the radiator support between the headlights and welded in box tubing to remount the rad further forward.
