tcspeer Posted February 27, 2007 Share Posted February 27, 2007 (1997 Subaru Legacy Wagon) The front wheel bearing seal with the rubber lip, does it go on the transmission side of hub or the wheel side? Last year the one I took apart was on the wheel side, last weeken with help from someone we found the seal on the other front hub with the rubber lip on the transmission side. The seals both look the same except one has the rubber lip on the edge of it. I do not recall it having a double lip only one on the outer side of seal.
