Can You Pull This With A Brat??!

Recommended Posts

Hey fellas-

A Brat might not be able to pull it, but I bet you could almost put one inside for some serious off roading trips...

I lead the team that designed this trailer. It's finally on the market. What do you think?! I'm a proud papa!

Here's one on ebay: Looks like they've jacked up the price a bit:

A FINE looking little trailer, of course being an Airstream, it is a little bit over the top. I didn't catch the total weight, didn't look hard enough, I guess. My tastes are lighter/smaller, but to each his/her own.

Good effort!

More to my taste:

(and about 75% easier on the wallet, of course the quality and useage/usefulness is not the same, but I do know you can pull one of these)

THANKS! I love that Tab too- Lots of fun. I wish they would make one with the same charm, and a little less tear-drop. BT

There was a trailer, seen very occasionally in these parts (and rented out by U-Haul at one time) called the Boler. Out of production now you can see what I mean here:

Boler sorta got re-born/copied as the Trillium. I don't know the specific details, but late Bolers were identical to early Trilliums, then, as things are bound to change, so did the Trillium to what is availaible today:

Both tipping the scales at around 1350lbs with a tongue weight of around 50lbs (of course tongue weight is adjustable due to loading)

LOVELY! I want to live in one of those when I spend all my money on Subarus and can no longer afford the mortgage. Thanks for sharing. Another great one is the Eriba Puck. My favorite! BT

sure you can probably pull... stopping it though...

it's not the engine that keeps the towing limit at 800lbs (which it is for gen1's), it's the brakes...

that's why the towing limit AND the weight limit are the same... it doesn't matter where the weight is, it all has to be stopped by the same brakes...

so unless those trailors have brakes of their own i wouldn't risk it... it does look like they have drum brakes on there... but i don't see a brake mechanism on the tongue..?:-\

sweet trailors! i want one...
