'95 Legacy idles rough and stalls, any idea what's wrong?

My Legacy idles kind of rough most of the time when it's in gear (auto tranny) and on ocasion stalls when idling in gear, like when setting at a red light. Can anyone give me any idea where to start looking for the problem? Thanks.

have you done all the routine maintenance like plugs, wires, filters, etc.

 

You may want to go to an autozone to have them pull the codes to see if anything is in there.

Add to Josh's comment the vacuum hoses. You may have a cracked/split end. For high mileage car, simply replacing them all is a good/cheap practice.

a MAF sensor could also be causing this problem while not throwing a code.
