CD Player acting weird ?

My stock cd player on my 94 Legacy just started doing something unusual. Will occasionally not allow the cd to go into the player, seems sticky or hard to insert the cd (next time works fine). Can get the partially inserted cd to come out by pushing the button. Anybody ever had this happen ? Is the player toast ? An electrical problem ? Any way to reset the cd player ? Thanks !

I don't know how it detects the insertion of a CD but if its optical some of that 'Dust Off' or other canned air stuff might clear it.
