2004 Subarus

I need some help guys. Im looking at either a RS or Outback Sport, but im stuck on which one to get. They are both great cars, but for stylish purposes and practicallity reasons, i dont know which one to pick. Any suggestions??

If I were you I'd go with the RS. It has the same 2.5L as most of the rest of Subaru's lineup, so parts will be easier to find than for a WRX, and the standard Impreza suspension. Consumer Reports said it handled and rode much better than the OBS, and for my money I'd rather have a station wagon than an "SUV wanna-be". Personally I think the OBS is just for marketing hype--take an RS, jack it up, give it sloppier handling and more body cladding, rebadge it as an SUV, and sell thousands of units more a year.

 

Of course this is coming from someone who (a) drives a Forester and ( thinks the Forester is a station wagon.

The RS is the sedan. The 2.5TS is the normal wagon, and the OBS is the loaded wagon. Suspension is MAYBE slightly higher in the OBS than the TS, but its still basicly the same car. Pick the one that has the equipment level you want and call it good. If you really want a lower ridehight get some WRX or STi take off spring and strut assemblies for cheap. The STi ones are teh ultra win, but not quite towncar smooth. Close though.
