with 67,000 original, certifiable miles

There is too much new stuff for a "well taken care of" VW van that has only 67,000 on it.

might be well taken care of after he pulled it out of the feild that it sat in for ten years after the original motor blew, and before he bought it and did the swap.

Which leads to the question, if he bought a synchro, why not swap (camper) parts?

Its a huge conversion to make a Syncro 7 seater into a Westy. But way easier to do that than make a 2wd into a Syncro (nearly impossible).

The price isnt out of line IMO. I own an older 84 that has 30K on it and I wouldnt trade it for one with 130K. That really saves the interior to be lower miles like that.

Thats a really straight van with low miles and nice shiny paint, lots of upgrades and the alloy wheels which are fairly common but not all in the same package. Finding another one in that condition in that location is going to be IMPOSSIBLE. You would find one out West but then would have to drive it across country (which wouldnt be bad in one of these vehicles). Remember, something is only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it but it works the other way too...if you wouldnt sell yours for $22,000 but somebody pulled up at a gas station and offered you just that you would take it.
