Anyone making it out to the Mt Hood rally

All those years of sitting on my rump roast in the woods watching other peoples cars drive by have finally paid off and now I get to be one of those guys rallying.

If anyone has ever wanted to see what this thing called rallying is all about come out any volunteer. I know they are always looking for people to come out and help. Even if it's as simple as being a road marshal (you park on a access road and make sure no one comes on stage while it's hot).

Well if anyone makes it out I will be an old legacy #345, just look for the guy that basicly has no idea what he is doing. That would be me.

I will be there! I was ATC last year on Fir mtn stages...

This year I heard there was a big jump (not sure what stage)on course!:headbang:

good to hear someone will be making it out.

guess i will just have to figure out where the jump it when i get the route book.

got to say i will be slowing down for it. not looking to kill the car or me the first time out

well my saturday was cut a little short. on the forth stage right after flying finish i slid the car over the side of an embankment. didn't do anything to the car other then when they pulled me out i tore all my mud flaps off.

if that wasn't bad enough on the way back to service my headgaskets went, puking water all over. so we threw in the towel and called it a day.

still was tons of fun.

my only complaint was the sharp left turn right after the flying finish and i had caught up to the person in front of me so it was dusty as hell, as soon as i saw the edge it was to late.

but i did get a nice pick with my phone.

Nice picture. I was crewing for 345 and was excited for the first 30 minute service. We had everything for the car ready and lunch for the driver and co-driver was on the grill. Then the call came that we were done and I was severely disappointed.

Hey mellow that car in the vid ..is an impreza 2.5rs #538 here's a P1010008.jpg

pic from fir mtn .

Here's your car at fir mtn stage....P1010019.jpg

I was a spectator after almost 3yrs of crewing for Primitive racing car #233...my 3yr old son was with me... his first rally ! he loved it !!!

I was at the fir mtn stage and then service at HR fairgrounds. After that I saw some great action at the Mosier jump!

A spectator (local in a buick ) turned around a headed out with many passengers hit the oil pan on a rock and oil draining all down the course!!! I got the marshalls to radio ahead to stop them  , they just countinued downhill to town....3.8l of junk...now..note: they only had the car since 10/5/07..!!!(we saw the temporary permit..) the car was 100 dollar beater anyway...:dead:

our car #233 car got about a foot of air on the jump! Then the light blue Audi car #734 we heard approaching missed a shift (grind..a another noise..!) they hit the top of the rise ...and the Hood flys open at like 50mph..HOLA@(*^$!!!!:dead: then they came to a stop off the road the secured the hood pins down...! Wow that coulda been ugly!!!

While watchin the fir mtn stage the blue/white rx7 J- hooked the corner abit wide doing a 180*and finished off with a crowd pleasing 360* to finnish it off...!!!

Lot's of action and we had a great time! Go Primitive!!!:headbang:P1010005.jpg
