Guest JER2911
Well, I called to get some "starter solenoids/ re-build kit" They said that they were unable to get them. And then they suggested that if I "wasn't very familiar with a nipodenso starter that I should probably not mess with it cause of the gears etc." SO. The question is: Was I asking for the wrong part? The symptoms I have are the clicking sound, after several tries the starter with finally turn over. I've gotten advise from this board that that would be the Solenoids that needed to be re-placed. So...is there an online parts rescource for the parts I'd need or should I try another parts place - the one I called is the best/most honest in town and I value their opinion/advise... Thanks for the help. Jordan
Guest ShawnW
I think the problem is you are going to find that a lifetime warranty starter is cheaper than fixing solenoids.
Guest Legacy777
you can change the solenoid contacts for a fraction of what it costs for a new/rebuilt starter. There are no gears for the solenoid. Either you were asking for the wrong thing, or the guys behind the counter didn't know what you were talking about, or they just wanted to sell you a new starter. Either way, Look in this thread pub110.ezboard.com/fultim...=105.topic I put two different places where you can buy the contacts online for cheap cheap! You just have to search through the massive thread.
Guest JER2911
Josh, Thanks for the help...I think what I was asking for was the starter selonoids - NOT the Solenoid CONTACTS. This is probably the root of my confusion/problem... btw, do you have any ideas as to where/what page those links were?? I noticed two for batteries, but didn't have time to browse the whole post. Thanks agan for setting me strait.

Guest JER2911
Well, I looked for the write up that I thought was on here. And I couldn't find it. I remember when I first started having probs with this (about 7 months ago) that someone posted a link to a site that had pics etc of how to fix this....Anyone know where that went???? Thanks again!
