Just a curiosity question, but why would you go with a carb and disty instead of using the stock ej fuel and spark?

to keep the wiring simple and durable, with this setup all you need is one wire to the distributer and a fuel line to the carb, it makes putting a newer engine into a older car that much simpler, no wiring harness to modify, no sensors or computer to set up and wire, granted to get the highest preformance out of a newer fuel injected engine you go with the electronics, with this setup as long as you have some juice in your battery and some gas you can drive the thing home,

I *think* if the airplane guys are going this way it makes more sense.

The downside is having to stock replacement parts, as carb and distributor parts are getting a little long in the tooth, and are not usually locally stocked at auto parts stores.

Hey Guys This is Jerry, have you look on the Aussie board on mini jet boat racing. They use the 2.2 with the carb to get more power because with the fuel injection you can only go so big well with the carb you can go bigger larger jets larger carb more ponies. Like Scott is talking about old school simple and away we go. Thanks Jerry

Scott, just for the record Will and I are coming up after you get off work I might come up a bit earlier since I found an EJ22 up in your area, so I might pick that up and then run over to your place after that. Hope everything goes together nicely. What time will you get to your house at I'll try and meet you at the same time you pull up at your place!!!!!!
