archemitis Posted December 17, 2003 Share Posted December 17, 2003 how can i get into a gas cap that i have no key for? can i drill a 12 mm hole in the lock cylinder, and just open it? i gotta get it open tonite, so if i get no replies, i might just go at it with a drill and chisel and hammer. Won't take long to peal it back, no matter which way you choose. The only real decision is what cap to put back on........cause the old one aint goin back on! GeneralDisorder Posted December 18, 2003 Share Posted December 18, 2003 There was no key code, but a good smith can make a key in minutes - they have a very simple key pattern - at least mine did. The pattern was so simple as to almost not be a lock at all. It was just a bunch of the same ridge over and over - not a complex cut.
