No I bought her that way. I love the color though. It looks great in pictures, but oh if you look at it close up, the paint job is so crappy. I bought the repop stripes for it, but I have not put them on yet because I know I am going to have to repaint one day.

I love this thread! Lets see some more! We should put a calendar together!

Thanks Skip. I take too many pictures, so it figures at least a few should be good.

As for the front bumper, i think its the supports are a bit wonky. Havn't looked into it too much.

The muffler on the coupe, no idea, previous owners addition, just the tip doubles in size and looks kinda silly. Will be fixing that once it gets on the road....:)

Here are a couple pics of what I am working on. I haven't done too much yet, All of the paint is 100% original. It hasn't had any touch ups, or paint work whatsoever. I have a set of NOS stripes for the sides when I do paint it. The problem I have is that the stripes I have are burgundy, and the ones on it now are silver. I love the silver on white, but if I can't find a set of silver stripes, I may paint the BRAT silver (would look better with the burgundy stripes). Let me know what you guys think.

Holy ****!!!! You live in Michigan?!? Where did you buy your brat, because it sure doesn't look like a native Northerner. WOW!

I wish it was perfect, but it does have VERY light spot rust underneath, and the start of the dreaded fender cancer (see the spots next to the rubber bumper corner?) The BRAT actually came out of New Hampshire. I bought it from the original owner (or actually his family because he passed). The man was 87 when he died 4 years ago, and he bought it new. He seldom drove it in the rain or snow, and when he did, he washed it in the garage. It had a topper on it when I got it, and the topper had never been off since new. The carpet and seats, and belts in back are as new. The sad part is he backed into a fire hydrant (the inside of the tailgate doesn't have a single dent in it). I did buy a NOS tailgate, just haven't painted it yet.
