Friday filled the tank on my GL and had wheel bearings get scary noisy. Is it coincidence that my cars only break down when the tank is full? Maybe it was on it's last leg anyways, and the extra weight of the full tank just broke it's back? I dunno. That happened to me when I filled my tank, the Outback blew a head gasket. The Dude Abides Posted February 19, 2008 Share Posted February 19, 2008 I had an 1989 crown victoria that after you filled it with gas it wouldnt start. You would half to jump it off the starter solenoid. Funny thing is i sold it to some people who turned around a couple days latter and robbed a gas station, after filling the car with gas lol.
