I'm trying to find the TCU on a '90 legacy LS with an auto trans and I'm a bit confused. I've heard it's behind the glovebox but the only thing I can see is a box on the right hand side of glovebox that's fairly well buried. Any help will be appreciated.
The reason I'm looking is to find the wire that goes to the Duty C solenoid. There a post on Legacy central to cut and put a switch in the wire to force the AWD to engage, but I need to find the TCU first, and then find the wire. If there's an easier way to do this, please let me know. Thanks.

On my 96, it's under a pannel under the rug, just above where the passenger feet would be. Probably at the same location on your's but I'm not positive.

Just looked under the carpet - no panel, just a lot of sound insulation. Anybody else have any ideas? Thanks.

it's the vertical looking box on the left side of the steering column
Disregard my writing saying it's the ECU, it's actually the TCU
