It looks like the last person who changed them bent the roll pin. I have been pounding and pounding but the roll pin will not back out. Is thier any other methods of removing the pin. edrach Posted December 24, 2003 Share Posted December 24, 2003 This might sound dumb, but I have to ask. The two holes in the axle are different. One hole has a slight bevel on the outside and the other doesn't. Always drive the pin out from the un-bevelled side and when replacing the pin, drive it in from the bevelled hole. TROGDOR! Posted December 24, 2003 Share Posted December 24, 2003 I had one that was giving me trouble like that. I ended up having to drill it out. The thing finally came out of the hole in 4 pieces. Took me all of an hour to get just the pin out. Grrrr... why do some people feel that they have to beat a part senseless until it fits... why not just do it the RIGHT way??
