Ok, so I found out that my 91 loyale is not stuck, or is no longer stuck, in 4wd, but that the light is staying on...anybody know why or can figure out why that's happening? The help would be much appreciated

probably a sensor/switch, stuck or broke. pull out the ebrake cover and console, you will see a switch with a black and red wire next to the 4wd selector. thats is most likely the problem, either it is stuck, not disengaging the switch....cracked in half due to the way plastic gets brittle.
