88xt6joe Posted January 2, 2004 Share Posted January 2, 2004 I just wanted to say thank you. After taking the time to go through all the old posts I got my overheating problem fixed. So thanks to everyone who posted something about overheating and thermostats. It turned out that my thermostat would not open and my car was getting hot. New thermostat and a new radiator cap just for good meausure. Just in time for the cold. The high for Tues they say will be -7degrees. I take it you guys must have power steering then. My 86GL its easy to change the water pump.. Now that I know what I have to take off, I can do it in less then an hour..
