If it's an automatic then it's hi range only Oh for some handy info, the Hi/Lo portion is in the front of the transmission. It's a reduction gear set on the input shaft. soobme Posted January 6, 2004 Share Posted January 6, 2004 No, if it's an auto than it will ONLY have hi range. and some 5spd.s ONLY have hi range. In order for it to be a dual range it MUST HAVE a 2nd shifter. 5spds with only 1 shifter are a single range ( push button) On the older 4spds they can have the 2nd shifter and still be a single range 4wd.
