SPFI to MPFI?

possibly fuel pump, if the GPH/PSI is different between the types of fuel systems... I don't know and I'm too lazy to look it up.

As far as I know, the MPFI EA82 has the injectors in the manifold... so you wouldn't actually need to tear the engine apart or even take it out. Unless you wanted to rebuild it. And the SPFI block has higher compression to it, so to MPFI an SPFI block isn't at all bad.

Later on, you could swap the MPFI ECU for a turbo ECU and add the turbo/related parts (resulting in a 9.5:1 CR EA82 turbo engine) Which has been done. (actually, was a turbo engine with switched pistons. same idea)

sorry, You have the wrong Idea, this isn't a performance thing for the Loyale, I should have explained that, I think I can get a MPFI engine for about $100 and I would like to put it in my brat, If it would also work in the Loyale my dad would be more likely to get it for me, as it would be awhile until we could put it in, so if the loyale dies we could use that engine in it, whew, biggest run-on sentence ever!

If the MPFI is a good deal I see why that would motivate your desicion but honestly the MPFI is overly complex for little to no gain. Would be much easier swaping and working on an SPFI or a carbed engine IMHO. You can really strip down the SPFI and carbed models to just bare minimal function and get it working in no time.

Just my 2 cents. Seeing a BRAT with an MPFI engine would be neat tho :D
