I have a chance to get a couple weber32/36 DGV-5A carbs. They came off an old Datsun. If I got them and bought a adapter plate seperate is there any reason they shouldn't work on my car.I also have a 1979 DL front wheel drive I'd like to put the other on.Or would I be better off just getting the kit from Redline. What does everybody think?

Your going to have to rejet it most likely. Here are the jets that you need for the 1.8.

140/140 mains

160/170 air correctors

50/55/60 for primary idle jet, secondary is fine at 50.

I think i covered everything correctly. If I mixed something up im sure GD or someone else will pipe up.

Yep that is correct. I have found that alot of cars use the same idle jets but the mains are usually different along with the air correctors.
